Happy 11th and 3rd Birthday!!!!!

This past weekend we had family over for the girls Birthday dinner. On the menu as requested by the girls ...was Lasagna, pasta and meatballs, salad, garlic bread and Macaroni and cheese!! And of course (selfishly) Guiseppes Bakery cakes. Every time one of their birthdays roll around, I am always amazed at how fast a year goes by, now that I am a mom. I am even more amazed that I have an 11 year old and that I am about to be a mom of 4!!!! 

And more than being amazed I am so very thankful to be a mom, their mom and mom to 3 (almost 4)girls.

Poor Emma spent her party coughing all night....literally :(

Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest

And Kaylah won 2nd place!!!!!!! She came home running off the bus to share the news!  This meant Kaylah gets her poster displayed at Mike's House of Pizza, 2 FREE small cheese pizza's and a ride up in the ladder truck along with the 1st and 3rd place winners. She was so happy, because 3 of her friends from Mrs Hall's class also won, best in their classes :) 

Daddy took a half day at work and we headed to Indian Head last week to watch her go up in the ladder!

Kaylah's 10th Birthday Party!!

 Friday Night we had Kaylah's 10th Birthday Party. It was a joint 10th Birthday Party with her and her friend Olivia.  We had it at Carousel Family Fun Park, the old skate town USA! The girls invited their whole class plus our families. Miss Alivia invited some of her friends too :0) I think we had a little over 40 kids!

The kids had soo much fun. Including Miss Emma who skated and danced all night!

This little lady started out a little slow on the skates but by the time the 2hrs were up she was zooming around!

After the party we let Kaylah have some of her friends sleep over. They had a blast and again Iam so thankful that she has such a great group of friends

Kaylah and Daddy time

Yesterday when Kaylah got off the bus I told her that Daddy had a surprise for her and that I was bringing her to his work to drop her off.....She was so excited when he told her they were going to a Bruins game!

Kaylah had told Adam awhile ago that she wanted to see the B's play so he bought some tickets off his friend and made it happen.

Adam said she was psyched and he was so happy to get to spend some one on one time with Kaylah and talk about life :0) Someday she (they) will look back and be thankful to have such and awesome dad, that would do anything for his girls! 

Adam bought her a new Bruins T-shirt and claw and she even got on the Jumbo Tron (did I say that right? ha) Adam tried to get a pic of it and you can see her head and her yellow towel she was waving in the air!

Emma, Alivia and I got a pickle pizza (Alivia's request)and went home and watched movies.....Life is good!

Kaylah turns 10

In February of 2001 Adam and I found out we were going to be parents. Needless to say at the age of 17 and 18, we were in shock, nervous and unsure of what the future held for us. But very quickly those fears turned to excitement and determination. Determination to prove everyone wrong and dismiss all stereotypes on young unmarried parents. 

My last OB appointment was on 10/23/01- 1 day after Kaylah's due date. There was no sign of impending labor and was not dilated at ALL! I remember feeling sad leaving that appointment and anxious to meet her. That night we went to bed and I remember waking up to go to the bathroom around 2am. On my way back to bed I realized my upper legs were killing me. I called my mom to ask if this could be labor, she said she didnt think so. SO I hung up but before long the pain in my legs was so intense that I couldn't talk through it. We were timing just in case it was labor.....They were only 2-3 minutes apart. This picture cracks me up...we were so young. See Adams comment ? Really hurt :0)

At this point I really thought " This cant be labor, my stomach doesn't hurt, just my legs and hips did." Adam woke up his parents and we left for South Shore Hospital. I screamed at Adam the whole way there not to stop at red lights or stop signs. When we finally arrived I couldn't even sit to be admitted so they sent me right to the Maternity ward. My midwife came in and checked me...I was 7 CENTIMETERS. I was in shock I went from 0 the afternoon before to 7 while I was asleep. I begged for the epidural and things slowed way down. Finally by 11 I was fully dilated and they told me they were going to let the epidural wear off so I could push..... I am confident now that my epidural had completely wore off as the pain I experienced was unbearable X 100. But finally after along 2 + hours of pushing. My sweet sweet Kaylah Leanne was born weighing in at 9lbs 10oz and 21.5 inches long.

 And changed our lives completely for the better. As any mom would say ......There truly are no words to explain how we felt that day! I think this picture pretty much says it all.

Its REALLY hard to believe that this 10 year old is the same little girl I fell in love with 10 years ago!

These days Kaylah loves to play soccer, be with her friends, play on her new ipod touch (from her awesome parents ;) talk about boys with her friends, fight me at homework time, and of course fight with her sisters.

So long gone are the days of falling asleep on me and needing me every second of the day, which makes me sad! But she is still the same sweet Kaylah 10 years later and I look forward to what the future holds for her. 

Kaylah- Yesterday I had your parent teacher conference with Mrs Hall. She told me how you are a great little girl ,a great friend and a very hard worker. Don't ever lose those qualities. I cried like a big baby in front of your teacher...Why?  because I am so very proud of who you are becoming. You are everything I could ever wish for in a daughter. We love you to the moon and back beautiful Kaylah! xoxoxo

Back to school beauties

This morning started out perfect. Homemade waffles, eggs and bacon (that no one ate).....Then we waited for Kaylahs bus that proceeded to drive (fly) right past us. SO Kaylah got a special ride to school in Daddy's truck. Here are some pictures from when we waited for the bus that never came.

Kaylah was so sick of me taking pictures..the last few pics all looked like this.

I really cant believe we have a 4th grader...an almost 10 year old!!!!!! This amazes me and when I look at her pictures and realize how grown 
up she is, I am so very proud of who she is growing up to be.

Miss Alivia was so excited to go wait for the bus and was much more tolerant of the paparazzi aka..mom :0) Cant believe its already time for Kindergarten!!

Alivia and her home made sign for school. This year she has Mrs Baglole who happens to be her Pre-K teachers mom. We have heard wonderful things about her.

This girl seriously cracks me up with her love of accessorizing. 1st day of school and already about 6 key-chains on her backpack.

 She couldn't wait for the bus to come... I couldn't believe it. This sweet little girl never would leave my side and now she is becoming so much more confident and social.

The bus came and she was still so excited that is until he opened the doors for her to get on and then excitement turned to this... a look of horror and wanting her mom and baby sister to come on the bus with her. We then heard two sweet voices calling "Alivia"....It was Anna and Charlie from Pre-K and all was OK in the world again :0)

So So proud of my sweet girls and feeling so blessed this morning.

Its nap time here for Emma so that means 2-3 hours of peace and quiet for Mommy!
