Martha's Vineyard 2011

Well I just got back from my girls weekend in MV.........and it was PERFECT

Here is the Ferry we boarded Friday night .......3 of the 7 girls were already at the house, so they picked us up at Vineyard Haven and brought us to our home away from home for the weekend.

The house was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Except for maybe these creepy stairs that lead to Sarah and I's "apartment"

This was the downstairs part of the house where Sarah and I stayed

Amanda who is soo sweet and thoughtful had t-shirts made for all of us. They had our favorite alcoholic drink and favorite # on the back and MV 2001 on the front

Our first night on the island we stayed in and talked and ate appetizers. Everyone made a different appetizer and they were so Yummy :0)

The next day we got up and dressed (all in our matching t-shirts) and went to Nancy's for lunch

We got ice cream at Mad Martha's..YUM

And spent the rest of the afternoon walking around and shopping

After we shopped until it hurt we came home and changed and headed out to the bar Season's where we had some drinks, listened to Karaoke, and danced the night away

It was a perfect weekend with some awesome ladies and just what I needed

Morning came WAY too soon and we packed up and headed back to the terminal to catch the 10:45 ferry

I was sad to leave so soon but was daydreaming on the ferry ride home about seeing my 3 favorite ladies....And I came home to a clean house and these beautiful MUMS that they picked out for me!

Feeling lucky to have an amazing hubby, 3 awesome kids, an opportunity to go away for some girl time, and an awesome Bestie!

Just me and a bunch of girls...and no kids. I have never left Adam with the kids for a weekend and Adam and I have only left the kids for a weekend, maybe twice in 10 years. All of our vacations have been for the kids. So needless to say I am feeling very sad tonight, but this girls weekend could not have come at a better time for me, I need this weekend. But boy I am going to miss my babies like crazy!

Belgrade Lakes- Maine

This past weekend Adams great Uncle Jack was nice enough to let us all come up to his cabin.....right on the Belgrade Lakes.

And Emma ran around like a wild woman trying to jump in the lake .... which was very nerve wracking!

I got her to stop and pose for some cute pics though :0)

 Adams parents rented a little boat so we could cruise around the lake.  There is a store across the lake that you can take the boat to and dock it and walk right up to the store...so cool!

Kaylah was being a nerd and not looking at me for pics...and when she did she would do a goofy face.

As you can see in the picture below ....ha!

 There was a little island out in the middle of the lake that we dropped the girls off with Uncle Tim and drove off to take a picture......

Home!!!!!

We had such a nice time and it was so nice to be away from home and chores and to make more memories with the kids that they will remember forever....but also exhausting with a toddler.....I think its time to plan a weekend away for just Adam and I :0) As a weekend is all Iam sure I could handle being away from them! I have been daydreaming of a weekend with just Adam and I where all we do is lay on a beach all day long then followed by nice dinners out....
